Lindsey Blair Quartet is made up of some of Miami's finest seasoned musicians. The band is Lindsey Blair guitar, Nicky Orta bass, Waldo Madera drums and Michale Levine piano.The Members of the quartet have worked with for a staggering array of top performers in a variety of genres and have played with artists such as Arturo Sandoval, Randy Brecker, Toots Thielemans, Maynard Ferguson, Mike Stern, Chick Corea, Paquito D' Rivera and many, many more. Lindsey has been influenced by Wes Montgomery since becoming aware of him in his hometown of Indianapolis Indiana (also Wes's hometown). When Blair decided to embark on this project he spent years developing Wes's style in order to pay proper respect to the music. The result is a project that is as if Wes had been transported through time to South Florida to play with these brilliant latin jazz musicians. It is the perfect mix of of traditional and contemporary styles showcasing not only the Wes Montgomery guitar style, but also Wes Montgomery's book of excellent jazz compositions. A refreshing take on these brilliant songs we all love.
