Fender Hits Sour Note With Hundreds of Employees Laid Off.

Fender has apparently laid off approximately 300 employees at it’s California facility.

With high inflation and a slowing economy Fender reduced instrument production to a range of 200-250 per a day.

The laid off workers comprised the whole second shift of the Corona, CA manufacturing factory. The RIF: Reduction In Workforce included their entire senior management, production line workers, quality assurance, assistant manager and plant manager.

Additional terminated jobs included VP of research and design, recruiters, communications managers and graphic designer.

It was a straight forward RIF with no puffed up superficial communications/email/letter.

Minuscule of just a few days pay to no severance package.

Fender is currently recruiting for maintenance mechanics and robotics engineers.
