The first annual San Diego Mac n’ Cheese Fest came to Waterfront Park to provide attendees with decadent, gourmet macaroni dishes made by chefs from some of the top San Diego restaurants.
The competing chefs were hand-selected due to their already locally popular mac n’ cheese creations. They will get the chance to reign supreme as they battle head-to-head for the title of "Best Gourmet Mac n’ Cheese in San Diego." There will also be a popular-vote category for your favorite dish of the day, and the winner will receive the “People’s Choice Award.”
Fest-goers washed down some of those orgasmic, cheesy dishes with a bountiful selection of local wine and craft beers.
The funds raised were donated to the nonprofit organization, The World Wide Network of Learning. The organization’s objective is to "engage, mentor and cultivate young leaders in order to positively impact our cities, community and world." Your generous donations are tax deductible.
The event is 21-and-up. Tickets were $35 at purplepass.com.
