For its 12th year, a special rendition of the festival puts women in the forefront by celebrating Women in the Blues, with musicians from the SF Peninsula and beyond. Featuring the legendary Sugar Pie DeSanto, Lady Bianca, Pamela Rose, Henry Oden’s Rhythm and Blues Revue with Fillmore Slim, Craig Horton, and Margie Turner, Walter Jebe and the Lost Roots Band, and Stan Erhart with Nancy Wright, the PAL Blues, Music, ARTS & BBQ Festival honors their achievements with an exceptional roster of female talent.

Along with wonderful live music, The PAL Blues, Music, ARTS & BBQ Festival offers delicious food and drink, while showcasing Redwood City’s Courthouse Square, as well as Redwood City’s downtown merchants and restaurants. Proceeds from this fun and exciting family festival directly benefit the important youth programs of the Redwood City PAL.

The PAL Blues, Music, ARTS and BBQ Festival also serves up some of Northern California’s finest meat offerings, to satisfy even the most discerning barbecue officiando’s cravings. Plus, the unique artist booths of ART on the Square will fill the square with stunning art on Friday evening and all day on Saturday. It’s a great way to enjoy a beautiful summer day, reveling in Redwood City’s glorious weather, and savoring great Blues Music, Art, food and drink at the same time.
