Travelers and Airlines are a superstitious bunch.
Flying Superstitions: Did you know SWA has a flight to LAS (Las Vegas) with the Flight number 711. At the LAS airport they do not have a Gate 13. Many airlines and airports lack of row 13s or gate 13s.
In addition to Flight 13, most airlines avoid using 666, the Biblical "number of the beast." Also they do not use flight number 911.
In the flight deck many pilots' hats hanging with family pictures stuffed inside for good luck.
Out of respect to the victims of a crashed jet and 911 Airlines say tradition calls for them to retire flight numbers.
On the flip side Flight 666 from Copenhagen to Helsinki. Which means fliers can, (daily) take Flight 666 to HEL. (Helsinki's international airport code.)
