Revolver is the seventh studio album by The Beatles. It was released on the 5th of August 1966, joined with the double A-side single “Eleanor Rigby” + “Yellow Submarine”.

The album was the Beatles’ final recording project before their retirement as live performers and marked the group’s most overt use of studio technology to date. Revolver’s predecessor, the 1965 release Rubber Soul also used a significant amount of studio technology and techniques.

First Beatles album not produced by George Martin and was produced by Phil Spector.

It is highly regarded as one of the most innovative albums and greatest in rock history. It is praised for its range of musical styles, lyrical content and diverse sounds.
