A car for women? Cosmopolitan and SEAT under fire for new vehicle.
Cosmopolitan and car manufacturer SEAT (Headquartered in Martorell, Spain for 60 years and their parent company is the Volkswagen Group) have unveiled a car for women.
The car's gender stereotyped design features have ignited rage on Social Media.
Car manufacturer SEAT and Cosmopolitan (Women’s lifestyle publication) are feeling a negative reaction over a brand’s new car for "the ladies" that was jointly unveiled in London at Cosmopolitan's FashFest event.
SEAT’s Cosmopolitan Mii comes complete with a handbag hook, jewel-effect rims and "eyeliner headlights."
According to the two companies, “This makes it perfect for "impromptu karaoke performances, last-minute wardrobe changes, dramatic gossip sessions and emergency lunch-hour kips,"
The SEAT Cosmopolitan Mii is a solid flashback to when Bic pens launched "Bic for Her" ballpoint pens that were intentionally designed with a thinner barrel . . . . to fit a woman's hand and to compound matters were made available in pink and purple. Ellen Degeneres’ had a great time making fun of the “Bic for Her” product.
The Social Media reaction to “Bic for Her” was fast, ferocious and laughable. Cosmopolitan and Seat are feeling the heat as well.
