Meet the Couple From The Iconic Woodstock Album Cover.
Over half a century (53 years) after Woodstock, the album cover photo retains its symbolism for its photographer and the couple themselves.
Two years after the photo was taken, the two were married. Today, they have two grown children and look back on the event that is both “meaningful” and “phenomenal” in their book, according to Bobbi.
“All those people coming together with no violence, just peace, love and sharing.”
A moment in time that influenced generations to follow, the Ercolines’ picture and story emulate something of a Woodstock fairy tale.
53 years later, Nick and Bobbi are married and the pair never left one another’s arms. They married two summers after the fabled weekend, and they still live less than an hour’s drive from the original concert site of Bethel, N.Y., and within spitting distance of where they both grew up. And they’re Hippie Peace Freaks members. YAY!
In August 1969, they were 20 years old, and only dating for a couple of months. The TV and radio were abuzz with news of a crowded music festival the next county over. Officials were warning people to stay away.
