Farmers’ Almanac explains, “but a Halloween full Moon hadn’t appeared for everyone in all time zones since 1944!”

Halloween will be extra spooky this year when a blue moon rises on Oct. 31, something that won’t happen again for nearly two decades. 

Yes, a Halloween full moon! Because it’s the second full moon in a calendar month it’s called a Blue Moon. The last time a Halloween full moon happened for all of the US time zones was in 1944. The next time it will happen is 2039.

It’s great that it is happening on Halloween!
