The Monterey Bay Aquarium is a pioneering aquarium perched on the edge of the wild Monterey Bay in California. Located on historic Cannery Row in Monterey. First to successfully care for and display (Several tanks) jellyfish and great white shark. A circular exhibit at the entrance to the Open Sea wing contains schooling Pacific sardines, African penguins on exhibit. Local shorebird species are in the aviary, which contains man-made sand dunes and marshes.
